CSI: The Experience comes to the Montréal Science Centre

Montreal, April 6, 2017 – Budding investigators soon will be able to challenge their powers of deduction at the popular exhibition CSI: The Experience. As of April 6, visitors to the Montréal Science Centre will have an opportunity to solve three crime scenes, just like on the television series.
This interactive exhibition is a unique opportunity for fans to put themselves in the shoes of a crime scene investigator or a forensic scientist. Visitors will be invited to enter a crime scene and identify the evidence, carry out scientific testing in laboratories, produce a detailed report, and examine bodies in an autopsy room. They will even be able to report to their head office in order to build their case and solve the crime.

The genius of Leonardo da Vinci highlighted in Beurs van Berlage

From 27 January to 20 June 2017, the travelling exhibition Leonardo da Vinci – Artist – Inventor – Genius arrives at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. This major retrospective shows that Leonardo da Vinci was much more than simply the painter of the Mona Lisa. He opened his mind in the 15th century and was ahead of his time by several hundred years in both his thoughts and actions.

Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) is widely acclaimed as the most broad-minded and brilliant scientist, artist and inventor ever to live. Almost five centuries after his death, interest in his work remains unabated. The recent discovery in Paris of an original pen and ink drawing by him (estimated value € 15 million) and the acquisition of a private collection by the Polish authorities, including Da Vinci’s Lady with an Ermine (1490) both made front-page news worldwide. A huge dino adventure – come if you dare!

Dinos Alive throws you back million years in time and describes the story of the largest animals who ever lived on this planet: the dinosaurs! This fascinating journey through the history of the dinosaurs from all prehistoric periods is now open at the Kursaal in Oostende – Belgium.

The almost 2,000 square-metre dramatic jungle-like arena (divided over 4 rooms) opens a window to a world lost to history, with dinosaur robots that move their bodies, eyes, tongues, fingers and even stomachs.

Trekking through the simulated wilderness visitors will face giant displays of life-like structures and skeletons, rendering the most realistic and intrinsic experience. Dino Fans will experience the terror of the ancient earth by a gigantic true-to-life 16 x 6m huge Tyrannosaurus rex (T-Rex) robot as well as the terrifying Triceratops. New York, NY – To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum hosts Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience, an interactive exhibition that immerses visitors in the world of the beloved science fiction franchise. The experience opened to public on July 9 and remains open through October 31, 2016.

Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience to make US debut at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

New York, NY (January 26, 2016) – To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will host Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience, an interactive exhibition that immerses visitors in the world of the beloved science fiction franchise. The exhibition is produced by EMS Entertainment, the leader in interactive immersive exhibitions, in collaboration with the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and under license by CBS Consumer Products. Making its U.S. debut at the Intrepid Museum, the exhibition offers visitors the chance to experience life as a Starfleet Academy cadet, as they attend the Academy’s Career Day in the 26th century. After student orientation, cadets will visit nine zones focused on the training center’s specialties: Language, Medical, Navigation, Engineering, Command and Science. Following these interactions, cadets will be assigned a specialty and a demeanor based on their individual training.
