On June 14th, DCI opened the EMS Entertainment world class exhibition Leonardo da Vinci: Man-Inventor-Genius & Man-Artist-Genius. This exhibition has traveled the world, includes more than sixty invention models, twenty-one replicated works of art, and is an educational exhibition of unequaled fascination.
Made to scale and produced by the artisan Italian family who have been building the inventions to da Vinci specifications for two centuries, the models of Man-Inventor-Genius include interactive inventions and machines from the four codices: flight, civil machines, hydraulics and engineering and military machines. The craftsmanship and beauty of the materials used by da Vinci are represented just as they were in the 15th century.
Complimenting the invention models, Man-Artist-Genius combines made-to-scale replicas of da Vinci’s paintings. Through this exhibition, museum goers will have the rare opportunity of considering how the masterpieces relate to the artist’s love of science and nature.
The exhibition opened to the public June 14, 2014 and is presented by the Micron Foundation and sponsored by the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation, Julius C. Jeker Foundation and the Harry W. Morrison Foundation.
